By downloading, installing, or using TripTrack (the "App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App. These Terms form a binding agreement between you ("user", "you") and the developer of TripTrack ("we", "us").
TripTrack is a personal trip recording application for iOS. It records GPS trajectories of trips you initiate, stores them locally, and — if you sign in — can synchronize them with our server so the data is available on your other devices.
You must be at least 16 years old to use the App (strictest EU member-state requirement under GDPR Article 8). For users in the European Economic Area, by using the App you confirm you have reached the digital-consent age in your country. If we learn a user is under 13, we will delete the account in accordance with COPPA and applicable law. You are responsible for compliance with your jurisdiction's laws regarding app use, location recording, and road safety.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms and the Apple Media Services Terms.
We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. You agree not to post, transmit, or otherwise share any content that is:
You also agree not to:
Reporting and enforcement. You can report objectionable content or abusive users from any public profile, trip, or reaction via the in-app report flow, or by emailing privacy@trip-track.app. We aim to review reports and remove violating content within 24 hours. We may, at our sole discretion, remove content, suspend, or permanently terminate the accounts of users who violate these Terms, without notice.
Block. You can block any other user from any public profile. Blocked users will no longer appear in your feed or search results, and cannot see, follow, or react to your content.
You retain all rights to the content you create in the App — trip data, photos, notes, vehicle profiles, display name, and avatar. By posting content that you mark as public (public profile, publicly shared trips), you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, and transmit that content solely to operate the App and provide the features you used (e.g., show your public trip on your followers' feed, render a trip-share preview page). This license ends when you remove the content or delete your account. For private content stored only for your personal sync, the license is limited to storage and transmission between your devices.
We do not claim ownership of your content, do not use it to train machine learning models, and do not sell or share it with advertisers.
You represent that you have the right to upload any photos you attach to trips, and that they do not violate anyone's rights. We strip embedded metadata (EXIF, GPS) from photos before storing them on our servers.
You may delete your account at any time via Profile → Cloud Sync → Delete account. Doing so permanently removes your server-side data (trips, photos, vehicles, settings). Local data on your device is not affected.
We may suspend or terminate access, or remove content, if we believe you have violated these Terms — including violations of the Zero-Tolerance Policy in Section 5 — or pose a risk to the Service or other users. Termination for abuse is at our sole discretion and may be without prior notice. In case of termination for non-abuse reasons, we will make a reasonable effort to allow you to export your data.
We may release updates to the App that add, change, or remove features. We may also modify the server API. We will try to preserve compatibility, but we do not guarantee backward compatibility of old App versions.
The App uses Apple services (Sign in with Apple, MapKit, Core Location) and, when cloud sync is enabled, Cloudflare R2 for photo storage. Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms. See our Privacy Policy for details.
The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that GPS recordings will be accurate. GPS accuracy depends on device hardware, weather, and environment. Do not rely on the App for navigation, legal evidence, or safety-critical purposes.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profit, or use, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months preceding the claim, which for a free app is zero.
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims arising out of your use of the App, your content, or your violation of these Terms.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the App. Continued use after an update means acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer resides, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law of your residence.
